Yara Abu Hussein
LAPC. Psychotherapist
Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We are committed to supporting women and families by providing direct support, building communities, offering training and consultation to therapists, perinatal providers and medical professionals. This practice is designed to be a neutral safe space.
Objective
We aim to be there for you every step of your journey, exploring your beliefs, feelings, or behaviors and help you find your voice. Our desire is for you to grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and inspire change or improve the quality of your life.
Goals
Ultimately, the goal of therapy isn’t about changing people. It’s about helping people to reconnect with their true selves. It’s about healing injuries and building trust. It’s about crafting healthier relationships and living more fully in the present. These are the true goals of therapy: helping people become healthier, stronger, and more empowered.
Our Role
Our roles are not to fix, solve, or take away any of your problems, even though we may want too at times. Instead, our role is to help facilitate healing and to help you process through trauma and grief and to make space for – to welcome – all emotions and experiences of suffering. As therapists, we are forever shaped by the experiences and the stories we hear day in and out. As humans and therapists, we are all marked and touched by our clients. Our work gives us great joy, purpose, a certain level of awareness, deep compassion for people, and an immense gratitude for life.
