Ibrahim Shalabi
LPC
At Olive Branch Wellness, I am deeply committed to providing decolonized, anti-oppressive care for BIPOC, SWANA, and intersecting identities. I hold a specific passion for working with activists and community workers who identify with decolonizing their minds and making mental health a tool for liberation.
I specialize in unpacking colonial trauma, diasporic grief, and the disconnection from land, language, and culture. I provide a safe space for individuals processing the current global crises, as well as systemic burnout caused by capitalism. Additionally, I work closely with SWANA men and men of color to break inherited harmful patterns and navigate complex family and relationship dynamics. I also work with clients to unpack the context of patriarchy and gender norms, redefine healthy masculinity, and heal somatic disconnections from the body.
My therapeutic style is deeply relational and process-oriented. I believe in centering your agency and working collaboratively to break cycles of hopelessness, numbness, and despair.
