Kareem Elawar
Psychotherapist
I support clients by providing a place to sort through and process all that feels overwhelming and difficult to manage alone. Together, we will explore the places where you may feel stuck, held back, confused, frustrated or overwhelmed. I specialize in working with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, childhood trauma, PTSD, codependency, boundary work, sex and intimacy, grief work, LGBTQIA+ and conflict resolution. We will identify the barriers that limit you, shift negative thoughts, feelings and patterns, process old wounds and deepen your understanding of how you connect with yourself, others and the world around you.
I am trained in an integrative approach that incorporates relational, somatic, internal family systems, EMDR and attachment based modalities. I adapt this approach to suit each clients individual needs or concerns. I have experience working with clients from a diverse range of identities and communities and offer a holistic lens when approaching any topic.
My priority is to create a space and relationship with you where you feel welcomed to bring all parts of yourself. I offer a space for deep listening, reflection, and a place to cultivate the skills needed to create the change you want in your life. Feel free to contact me for a free consultation to assess if we would be a good fit.
