Marianne Albina
MFT
I work with individuals, couples, and families. I work with clients facing anxiety, grief, or marginalization, and those who feel stuck. I help those who navigate cultural differences and relational challenges including mistrust, betrayal, and breakdowns of communication. A portion of my practice is dedicated to couples, including those in mixed Arab/Muslim and non-Arab partnerships. I work with couples considering marriage, religious conversions, and decisions about having children.
I believe in the dignity of living with hardship and in the power of resistance. In my practice, I pay attention to the complicity of the power structure that clients live in as I believe that one’s experiences cannot be separated from the environment and context that hold them. I conduct therapy in English and/or Arabic.
