I’m a psychotherapist and EMDR consultant who practises and teaches online and in the Arab countries, and some Arab clients choose to work with me because they want a therapist outside their own country and culture, but who has familiarity with, understanding of, and deep respect for it.

Living with Palestinians in the Occupied Palestinian Territories for three months after 7 October 2023 gave me the privilege of learning a little of what it is like to live in an Arab country during an extraordinarily difficult time. Teaching in the region and maintaining close friendships with Arab friends and colleagues has given me invaluable experience of working and connecting between Western and Arab cultures.

In 2025, I had the honor of teaching for EMDR Lebanon in Beirut and the Middle East and North Africa Trauma Alliance (MENATA) in Dubai, and was a keynote speaker at the EMDR UK Association annual conference, before returning to Dubai to teach at the MENATA Second Annual Trauma Conference.

My areas of specialization are working with complex trauma, EMDR, the body, ego states and dissociative parts. I also supervise and mentor colleagues in the Arab countries towards EMDRIA certification and am currently training to become an EMDR trainer.
