Ghina comes from a very rich, challenging, and adventurous childhood that contributed to the building blocks of who she is today. Growing up, she lived in 7 different countries following her dad’s job assignments with the International Red Cross.

Settling in the U.S. was an eye opener to how lucky and unique her experiences were. On one hand, she would like to say that her frequent transitions between educational levels and systems in different countries were all very smooth, although that was not always the case. She struggled with mental health and getting help did not feel within reach. She does not wish that experience on anyone which is why she wants to put in the effort to help those who are going through something similar and provide them with the support that they need.

She wants to build a community where people feel that they will always have people by their side to reach out to whenever they need. The main goal for her pre-med journey is to help those in need and make an impact on her community.
